Winter Mindset and Motivation - or lack thereof!!!
We all deep down dread the onset of the cold, dark and wet months and more importantly the impact it has on our diet and exercise.
In this episode the guys talk all things mindset and motivation to help get you through the colder months.
We don't say this lightly but this week you NEED to make time to listen to this...
This week we have Ryan Martin a Nutritional Therapist and Holistic Health Coach from reviveyourself.co
In the episode, he just touches the surface really in what's possible Health wise and how you can ultimately feel 100 times better each day.
Nowadays, we hear do this and do that to FEEL better but Ryan works with people from within and truly helps them change from the inside-out.
This is achieved by addressing a number of issues caused by life in the modern world and is an eye opener for pretty much everyone who comes into contact with Ryan, the content he delivers and what his work achieves.
This week we have Mr Motivator on the show (or his wannabe)!
> We discuss the ins and outs of diet success.
> The journey we've gone on in our learning and education to get to where we are now (you may want to skip this part haha)
> Rob wants to know what Josh's secret 'long flowing locks' pills are!!!
> The 'Diet Quadrant' and where YOU want to be on this.
> Finally, what does Mr Motivator keeps in his bumbag? (it's probably not his banana)!
Again, some mind blowing stuff in this episode - check it out...
Today we discuss the finer points of fitness and nutrition... or maybe just deliver our usual ramblings
> Rob's crazy 2 week crash diet experiment (do not try this at home!)
> Your 'comfort zone' and why being sat in it is keeping you stuck and forever frustrated.
> What to do to get out of it, in simple terms.
> How we structure our programs across the year to give our members (and you, potentially) the opportunity to get 'focused' and out your comfort zone in order to generate results.
> Biscuits - and how the little things stack up to keep you stuck!
Another content filled poddy, with the week's topics being covered are:
> Josh's bad back!
> what we can make into a sandwich.
> a bride to be's view on dieting to get in shape for the big day.
> MILK - the biggest cause of weight gain (maybe)
> The 'McDonalds Milkshake diet' experiment, will it ever be done?
> Health vs Fitness - two very different diet approaches.
Are You Letting Excuses Rule Your Body?
We know there are legit excuses for missing a workout or eating crap food but a lot are purely in your own head to justify not doing what you say you'll do.
The guys cover some excuses they've heard, as well as reveal a few of their own.
Plus, possibly the best ending to a podcast to date (you probably want to press stop about 23 mins in!)
Are you someone who is stuck right now and can't seem to get your fitness and weight loss moving?
Reference to a recent content piece, the guys touch on some simple mistakes that they see a lot of people making day in day out.
Plus; a shout out to a fantastic cause TUF are supporting this Summer '100ks of Summer', check out the link here for more details and to get involved (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/100ks-of-summer-tickets-35781553590)
Unlucky for some, our 13th episode comes on the back of a charity run event by RunGMC (Godmanchester Running Club) supporting MacMillan charity.
The TUF PT's laced up their running shoes (after diggin them out of the deepest darkest spot in the garage!) and did what they don't do best - running!
In this podcast we chat about...
> how it was great to get out of our comfort zone.
> the awesome efforts of local people in supporting this great event.
> how having the support of others can help push you on to achieve great things.
> plus a shout out to one of our TUF wonder women who runs more miles per year than we drive in our cars - that's no joke!!!
After a 3 week break we introduce PT Mark by putting him on the spot.
> Josh learns something new (and it really is quite basic haha).
> The worst advice when it comes to prepping your food!
> Marks top 2 key productivity tips regarding training & nutrition.
> Negative views from others about eating on the move - do people have these and do we care?
> What wins: Haribo or crisps? We know what we'd choose.
Summer Body Project (in April)!
> With Alex fresh off his Ibiza break we quiz him on what he did exercise wise and what he ate whilst away.
> Why we feel a holiday is either a stressful time (because we have to still be ‘on it’) or a free for all ‘off the wagon’ type affair.
> The way should really approach a holiday - and what to do WAAAAY before it.
> Why leaving it until last minute to get your beach body is always a disaster.
> The perfect time to plug our 10 week challenge starting in under a weeks time http://buff.ly/2oi8K9D
